Our Farm

During our initial research into raising livestock, we looked for animals that were easy to care for, and liked being around humans enough so that our whole family, including the young children, could be involved with their care. We were first introduced to Alpacas at a county fair. Not only did the Alpaca fit these criteria, but they had the added bonus of providing us with a return on our investment without sacrificing the life of the animal.

At J. Baka's Alpacas, we believe in the total care of the animal, meaning that a well-cared for, properly treated and constantly looked after Alpaca will provide returns on our investment well into the future. We don't try to breed any animal before it is both physically and mentally ready, this includes males as well as females. We are a small farm so we can personally work with all of our crias, to better acclimate the Alpacas to people. In fact, our young children have shown a few of our Alpacas at various shows throughout the state and have worked with local community groups.

J. Baka's Alpacas is located on Foskett Rd., near I-71 and Route 3, in Medina, Ohio. We pride ourselves on being a small, family oriented farm that deals with people while keeping the health and happiness of the Alpacas in mind. We don't believe that bigger farms are necessarily better. At J. Baka's Alpacas, you will always get the service you expect when making any type of investment for your future.
